We know the challenge of finding a mother's dress just because you have to coordinate with so many other wedding variables and typically you are the last to get to pick. We can help you! We have over 125 dresses in store to pick from! However, from July 9th-August 1st, we will have approximately 185 dresses to pick from! MGNY, one of our top selling mother's lines, will be sending us their newest gowns plus best sellers from their collection for your viewing. If you need a dress, this is an awesome opportunity to find one no matter when the wedding is!

When should you start shopping for your Mother of the Bride or Mother of the Groom dress?
Ideally, we recommend shopping 6-8 months before the wedding. This gives you the best selection and plenty of time for ordering and alterations.
Does that happen very often? Not at all! 😊
If you're reading this thinking, "Well... my wedding is much sooner than that," don't worry. We simply pivot!
We keep many of our best-selling Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom dresses in stock year-round, and many designers offer quick-ship options. We also have a large selection of gowns available for purchase directly from our showroom, meaning you could find your dress and take it home the very same day.
(Please note that some dresses featured during our MLNY Trunk Show are display samples and cannot be sold directly from the floor, but we always have plenty of beautiful in-stock options available.)

How much do Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom dresses cost?
Our collection ranges from approximately $450-$1,000, with most dresses falling between $500-$600.
We believe you shouldn't have to sacrifice quality or style to find something beautiful. We also offer payment plans to help make your purchase a little easier.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes! We highly recommend making an appointment.
When you book with us, you'll have a dedicated stylist and fitting room reserved just for you. Our goal is to give every mom the personalized experience she deserves.

What sizes do you carry?
We stock Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom dresses in sizes 4-26 and can special order many gowns in sizes 00-32, depending on the designer.
If you're worried about sizing, don't be! Our stylists are experienced in helping women of every shape and size find a dress they feel confident wearing.
Can I bring guests?
Absolutely!
Shopping for your dress is a special moment, and we'd love to celebrate with you. We recommend bringing 2-4 of your favorite people so everyone can comfortably enjoy the experience and help you make your decision.
Do you offer alterations?
While we don't perform alterations in-house, we're happy to recommend talented local seamstresses who regularly work with our gowns.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Bring any inspiration photos you've saved, your wedding invitation (if you have one), and any color swatches from the bridal party if available.
Most importantly, come with an open mind! Many moms end up falling in love with a dress they never expected to try on.
What colors should the Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom wear?
There really aren't many "rules" anymore!
The most important thing is coordinating with the wedding's overall style and color palette while avoiding colors the couple has specifically requested not to wear.
Your stylist will help guide you toward colors that photograph beautifully and complement the wedding party.
Should the Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom match?
Not necessarily!
Today's mothers typically coordinate rather than match exactly. The goal is for both moms to look beautiful together while allowing each woman to choose a style that fits her personality and feels comfortable.
Can I buy my dress the same day?
Yes!
Many of our dresses are available for purchase directly from our showroom, so it's very possible to find your dress and take it home that very day.
Some MLNY Trunk Show gowns are display samples only, but we always have hundreds of other beautiful dresses available for immediate purchase or quick ordering.
What is an MLNY Trunk Show?
A trunk show is a limited-time event where MLNY sends an expanded collection of gowns to our boutique.
Unlike many designers who only send their newest styles, MLNY also sends many of their best-selling gowns. During the event, our already large collection grows even larger, giving moms one of the biggest selections in South Louisiana.
